Building Weld County Parkway
This project for Weld County in Colorado includes the construction of a new, four-lane concrete road over 3.5 miles with two bridges: one over the Cache La Poudre River and another over the South Platter River, to match the existing bridge. Work on the project includes the erection of three concrete girder bridges 601 feet, 22 feet, and 971 feet long; three box culverts ranging from 79 feet long to 140 feet long and up to 20 feet by 10 feet in size; 280,000 cubic yards of borrowed material; and 136,361 square yards of concrete paving.
This project is part of a larger effort by Weld County to expand its parkway that serves as a major corridor for the area, and supports the oil and gas industry.
