Flatiron wins awards for partnering on construction projects in California
Flatiron, one of California’s largest transportation and infrastructure contractors, won two AGC of California’s Excellence in Partnering Awards for the Lenihan Dam and I-238 Widening projects. The awards were presented on April 10 in San Francisco, Calif.
The Excellence in Partnering Awards are presented annually to construction projects that best epitomize the principles of partnering. The award identifies excellence in partnering, celebrates success and honors stakeholders.
Flatiron replaced a deteriorating dam outlet structure for the 50-year-old Lenihan Dam – a 1,000-foot-long earthen barrier holding water stored at the Lexington Reservoir in Los Gatos, Calif. The Lenihan Dam project also was recently awarded the Partnered Project of the Year, Ruby level, by the International Partnering Institute.
In Hayward, Calif., to reduce congestion, Flatiron widened Interstate 238 and reconstructed portions of two interstate-to-interstate intersections. The company completed work four months ahead of schedule.
