Executive Vice President – Operations
Dale has nearly 30 years of experience in the heavy civil construction industry — 26 of those with Flatiron. He provides operational leadership for the Southwest and Central Divisions and leadership for Flatiron’s corporate Health & Safety program. In addition, Dale oversees Flatiron’s corporate Environmental and Sustainability Group that is vital to meeting the company’s Environmental-Social-Governance commitments. Plus, he serves as Flatiron’s senior executive representative for several high-profile projects in California, Arizona and Texas — including the Los Angeles Metro Highway 105 CM/GC project, the San Diego International Airport Terminal 1 Progressive Design-Build project, and the I-10 Broadway Curve project in Phoenix. Dale holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the California State Polytechnic University in Pomona and is a Registered Civil Engineer in the State of California.

Southwest Division
Flatiron's Southwest Division has extensive experience building and repairing transportation infrastructure throughout Southern California. With operations across California, Flatiron specializes in bridge and roadway construction, managed lane projects, transit and rail work, utility and underground projects, airport improvement projects and other civil infrastructure. The Division is currently working on the Los Angeles International Airport’s New Automated People Mover (APM) together with consortium partners ACS Infrastructure Development, Dragados, HOCHTIEF PPP Solutions, Fluor, Balfour Beatty and Bombardier. This is the first time a Public Private Partnership (P3) Design Build Finance Operate Maintain (DBFOM) method will be used to construct and operate an automated people mover.
