The Winston-Salem Northern Beltway Officially Opens to Traffic

Celebration is in order in the community of Winston-Salem as the Winston-Salem Northern Beltway officially opened to traffic on November 7, 2022.

The Flatiron-Blythe Development joint-venture team worked closely with the North Carolina Department of Transportation and other key stakeholders to successfully deliver this seven-mile stretch of beautiful roadway.

The North Carolina Department of Transportation held a ribbon cutting event to commemorate the opening.

“Game changer,” “an opportunity for economic development” and “reduced travel time for a deserving community” are just a few of the phrases notable speakers used to describe the new Northern Beltway.

Event attendees even had the opportunity to be among the first to drive on the newly opened roadway.

The completed Northern Beltway connects University Parkway with Old Walkertown Road.

Congratulations to all who made this project a success!
