Mugu Secant Walls Project, aka “Ventura Slope,” Complete
Flatiron, in collaboration with our joint venture partners Drill Tech, has completed the Mugu Secant Walls project, aka “Ventura Slope” north of Malibu, California.
As one of America’s most iconic roadways, the Pacific Coast Highway demands top-tier infrastructure to maintain its safety and beauty. Construction required meticulous installation of both primary and secondary secant piles.
Key enhancements include:
- 17,300 linear feet drilled
- 9,975 cubic yards of concrete poured
- 139 steel beams set, totaling 1.9 million pounds
- 800 linear feet secant retaining wall installed
- 1,10 linear feet Type 85 barrier positioned
- 1,900 tons of asphalt applied
The Ventura Slope Mugu project exemplifies Flatiron’s commitment to innovative and effective infrastructure solutions. We extend our gratitude to our team, partners and the Ventura community for their support.
