Putting an End to a Highway “Choke Point” in Texas

Texas Department of Transportation
IH-820 East Loop project easing a traffic headache.

Fifteen new bridges. Wider lanes. Safer and more efficient traffic flow.

Flatiron began work on our IH-820 East Loop project for Texas Department of Transportation near Fort Worth, Texas, in 2018. At that time, officials declared the five-mile project area as one of the worst choke points in the state. Our work is set to conclude this year, and we are proud to say that this North Texas community’s travel headache has been alleviated.

Join Field Engineer Andy Lozoya on a tour of the project, where he explains just how strong the new bridges are.
