Jim is responsible for all Mid-Atlantic operations and is Flatiron’s senior executive representative for the Hampton Roads Bridge and Tunnel Expansion project in Virginia. Jim joined Flatiron in 2019, bringing more than 25 years of experience in the heavy civil construction industry. Under his leadership, Flatiron has expanded its footprint in the Mid-Atlantic region and has achieved the successful completion of the Rodanthe Bridge project, the Wellsburg Bridge project and the Winston-Salem Northern Beltway project. Jim also has played a significant role in successful pursuits such as securing three major I-95 projects with the North Carolina Department of Transportation valued at $900 million and the $450 million Triangle Expressway for the North Carolina Turnpike Authority — as well as major project wins in the D.C./Maryland/Virginia area. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Florida and a licensed General Contractor in Florida, Georgia, Virginia and Tennessee.
