Teachers learn about Flatiron, can better inform students about career opportunities.

Flatiron’s Texas District hosted City of Austin teachers as part of our commitment to education and community service. The educators spent three days observing our Central Texas work through the externship, including a tour of our San Antonio International Airport projects.

The experience was designed to help the teachers better understand the construction industry and the career opportunities it offers students. The educators were given the opportunity to ask Flatiron employees about their skills, certifications and career trajectories. Additionally, now that the teachers have made professional connections at Flatiron, they can identify future learning opportunities for their students.
