Life at Flatiron
Mid-Atlantic Procurement Team Makes a Meaningful Impact
On April 12, the Mid-Atlantic Procurement Team spent the day volunteering at the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina.
Dominic Leech, a Buyer based out of the Morrisville, NC District Office, was compelled to organize this meaningful volunteer day after realizing the impact that rising food costs have had on many local community members.
“To me, it was important to select an organization that has a direct and immediate impact on the communities where we live and work,” says Leech. “Speaking on behalf of the entire team, we enjoyed ourselves and were pleased to be able to give back to our community.”
Flatiron volunteers assisted in the produce garden, a primary source of Food Bank’s supply.
